Report: Diana Taurasi 2nd Drug Test Also Positive

Diana Taurasi has always been a bit of a mystery to the staff here at Repo’s Delight. All-world college star at UConn. Leading WNBA scorer 4 years in a row. The five-time All-Star and two-time WNBA champion. The game just comes so easy for her.

We’ve also had our doubts about her playing in the WNBA. She simply has had an abundance of “Juwanna Mann” ish moments in her career. Something doesn’t add up.

Still, it came as quite a surprise to us that, according to a Chicago Suntimes report that “A Turkish television report says WNBA star Diana Taurasi’s backup doping sample has also tested positive for a banned substance.”

More shocking was that the positive is not for a more obvious performance enhancer (testosterone?) but instead for Modafanil. Modafanil, according to Wikipedia, “is a mild analeptic drug manufactured by Cephalon, and is approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the treatment of narcolepsy, shift work sleep disorder, and excessive daytime sleepiness associated with obstructive sleep apnea.”

Sleep apnea?

Riiiiiiiiight…to be honest we fully expect the world to learn soon that when it comes to Taurasi
