A horse handler at Arlington Race track in Illinois was arrested today for allegedly taking his “love” for animals too far.
According to the Chicago Suntimes, Esbin Cal-Orozco, 29, was charged Thursday with one count of sexual contact with an animal — a Class 4 felony, Arlington Heights police sgt. Mike Hernandez said. On Friday, he was ordered held on $25,000 bond.
Police found found Cal-Orozco riding a red huffy bike near the stable. He was wearing this mask and also had a bouquet of flowers and a pail full of chocolate covered acorns in his possession. There were also multiple scented candles lit and a Luther Vandross cd playing back in the stable. Questionable photos were also found at the site.*
Cal-Orozco allegedly admitted fondling a 4-year-old female horse named Buzz My Bell in a stable at Arlington Park, where he has worked as a live-in groomer and walker for about five years, Hernandez said.
“She wanted it”, claimed Cal-Orozco as he was being led away. “I tell her, I say “No, Mi amor…we cannot be. I must go!” and she kept going “neigh, neigh….neigh and prancing in front of me. She seduce me señor”. *
The horse has been checked with a vet, Hernandez said, and suffered no injuries.
Cal-Orozco lived in a dorm in the housing area of the track at 2200 W. Euclid in Arlington Heights, but has since been banned from the property, Hernandez said. He is currently being held at the Cook County Jail.
